Germany is the fourth largest bathroom equipment market in the
world and the biggest in Europe. Due to initial slowdown German market
again took pace in 2004 and now again it is growing both in terms of
volume and value. In terms of volume German market grew by 8% in 2006.
The market of baths, basin and cisterns is registering positive growth
rate and this will continue in the coming years. Germany meet its
domestic demand both through imports and domestic manufacturing. Imports
accounts for 36%.
Regarding other bathroom fixtures, one handle mixers are doing very
well. Thermostatic mixers are sold to the bath and shower fittings
markets.
